“For
it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this
not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so
that no one can boast.” Ephesians
2:8-9
Even as a child growing up in a
non-Christian home, Roger always sensed God’s gracious
hand. As the years passed, he discovered God’s claim on his
life and a call to ministry.
Roger's vision is that through the grace of the Lord Jesus
Christ, he will play a significant role in building His
Church by glorifying God (through worship and witness), by
growing His People (through equipping servant-saints and
developing deeply devoted disciples), and by going into the
community and beyond with the concrete acts of love and the
Good News.
Roger holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and
Dubuque Theological Seminary, where he graduated Magna Cum
Laude with the Master of Divinity Degree. He was ordained
by the Chicago Presbytery in 1972, and has served churches
in Nebraska, Indiana, North Carolina and New Jersey.
Roger came to Mount Holly in September of 2005 and has led
in redefining FPC's mission "to build His Church by
glorifying God, growing fully devoted disciples of Christ,
and going to our community and beyond with His Good News."
Roger and his wife Vicki live in Westampton, and have two
grown sons, Matthew (married to Stacy) and Nathan (married
to Amy), and well as a granddaughter, Addison.
