Kenny Phillips
Kenny Phillips currently serves
as the Director of Worship Ministries at First Presbyterian
Church in Mount Holly, NJ, where he oversees all aspects of
worship.
He is a graduate of Westminster Choir College in Princeton,
NJ with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. While at
Westminster, he had the opportunity to perform with some of
the premier orchestras and conductors of the 20th century.
He has collaborated with such great conductors as Ricardo
Muti, Riccardo Chailly, Robert Page, Zdenek Macal, and
Joesph Flummerfelt. He has performed with the New York
Philharmonic, The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, The
Westminter Community Orchestra, and recorded twice with the
New Jersey Symphony. Kenny has performed at Carnegie Hall,
Lincoln Center, Kimmel Center, and the Kennedy Center, as
well as on PBS for the one-year anniversary for 9/11.
As an accompanist of the Westminster Conservatory Youth
Chorale, he performed for sold-out crowds and national
television and radio stations throughout Brazil on two
occasions. He has received the Strathmore Hall Center for
the Arts Scholarship for Excellence, Honorable Mention for
Maryland’s Distinguished Scholar Program, and was a
Semi-finalist for Oberlin Conservatory’s Summer Piano
Festival and Competition.
Kenny is grateful for the many blessings God has given him
and looks forward to serving God through music and worship
at First Presbyterian Church. Kenny and his wife, Lauren,
currently reside in Mount Laurel, NJ.
