Vision Story

Seven years ago, we weren’t sure if this church would still be here. We were worn down and uncertain—but God was not finished with us. By His grace, we’ve experienced radical transformation: renewed relationships, restored mission, and a revitalized hope for what the church can be in Mount Holly and beyond.

Now, we are stepping into a new seven-year vision—one that builds on God’s faithfulness and calls us into deeper discipleship and community impact.

Our aim is to develop 500 flourishing disciples of Jesus—not simply attendees, but people being actively shaped by Christ. Disciples whose minds are being shaped by the Word of God, hearts being formed by the character of God, relationships increasingly marked by the Kingdom of God, and priorities being aligned with the mission of God.

This community of flourishing disciples is not gathered for comfort but deployed for transformation. Together, we will focus our lives and love on the 5,000 households within a one-mile radius of our church—bringing the light of Christ to every heart and home in our neighborhood. We believe that as God’s Kingdom takes root locally, it will bring salvation, justice, beauty, peace, and healing to our community. Each disciple will also serve as a beacon of light in their everyday spheres of influence—carrying the presence of Christ into workplaces, schools, families, and friendships.

This seven-year vision is not the finish line. It is the next faithful step—one that, by God’s grace, will position us for an even greater seven years to come, leading us into our 200th anniversary as a church rooted in Jesus and sent for His Kingdom.

Vision Goals for the next 7 years

We want to greatly increase the quantity and quality of disciples within the church.

We want those disciples to make other disciples who take the Gospel to where they live, work and play.

We want to see kingdom-level transformation in the community where the church resides.

A Disciple is someone who is following Jesus, being changed by Jesus, and is on mission with Jesus.
